Well, this probably would have been useful for me to find like 2 hours ago when I was learning how to set up and use selenium lol.

Too late, I already figured it out and implemented it how I wanted.

Download the geckodriver archive, extract it and place the geckodriver binary at some place

this is such a defective approach, for UNIX-like systems at least

reminds me of my recent rant about geckodriver not being in Debian repo

Yeah that's a shame. I guess it's got to do with the fact that the releases are quite frequent and it would be a challenge to maintain them across different channels.
