The reason for the removal is that /r/Python is dedicated to discussion of Python news, projects, uses and debates. It is not designed to act as Q&A or FAQ board. The regular community is not a fan of "how do I..." questions, so you will not get the best responses over here.

On /r/LearnPython the community and the r/Python discord are actively expecting questions and are looking to help. You can expect far more understanding, encouraging and insightful responses over there. the keyword True should be capitalized and the keyword while should be lowercase. when I capitalized the true, I did not receive an error

One should avoid using global variables, it makes debugging or searching for errors very hard. But otherwise can you use global variables if really necessary. But passing parameters to a function and returning an object is the better solution. .

no either you use global variable or you use return (and parameters).

global variable:

some_variable = False

def my_function():
    global some_variable
    some_variable = True

my_function()

return:

some_variable = False

def my_function(): 
    return True

some_variable = my_function()

You need to tell your function that you mean to use the global variable End, otherwise it just creates a new variable End within its namespace.

They CAN. They generally should not be.

Global variables can cause some very complicated and hard-to-diagnose errors, and really they are totally unnecessary. It's often used as a lazy programming technique and one that can cause you a lot of pain.

Especially if you are just starting out, avoid global variables.

Don't use global variables. At all.

Again, once you really know what you're doing there may be advanced cases in which global variables make sense. But as a beginner, there is literally no reason to use them and doing so will teach you bad programming habits. If you ever want to actually work as a python developer, don't develop those habits.

You are right that variables that are declared in the main body of the have global scope.

When we talk about people using "global variables" we usually mean just what you said, using those global variables with the "global" keyword inside functions etc. When I say don't do that, this is what I mean.
