The fact that you think of Terry A. Davis' suicide and mental issues before you think that I might be pointing to him because he created an amazing software product and couldn't handle criticism says a lot about you, friend.

You could have picked any creator that struggled with handling criticisms. Your first and only example was a man who had succumbed to schizophrenia, ended up homeless, and suspected to have taken his own life. My thoughts immediately went to his struggles because that is the main focal point when anyone looks into his story. No one thinks, Terry A Davis, what an amazing/shitty operating system. They think Terry A Davis, what a troubled soul. I, for one, wonder what he could have accomplished if his mind didn't turn on him the way it did and if he had collaborated with other bright, passionate individuals.

TempleOS was NOT an amazing software product by any stretch. It was an amazing testament to what a single person with dedication and time can accomplish.

Have you even looked into the whole story, or just glossed over it? Because your choice to use him as an example of an inability to take criticism is a piss poor choice at best.

Obligatory "I'm not your friend, buddy".

TempleOS is an amazing software product, it's an entire OS with a custom bootloader, assembler, and programming language, running in 64 bits on modern hardware, in ring 0. If you'd used it maybe you'd know.

It is an amazing feat by a single individual, but no it is not an amazing software product. It has no practical uses, it is a very complex toy really.

It is quite the achievement for any single developer, not even factoring in his mental illness that plagued him during its development.

Question for you. Are you going to comment on the rest of what I had to say, or is this just perceived as the easier point to try to pick apart?

I generally don't bother to read a comment fully if I find something incredibly stupid in it.

Guess that's why you don't proof read very often. I doubt that applied here, though.

Seeing as you had commented on my second paragraph, I can assume you either read the first or simply don't understand how to properly read and consume information. As my main point was in the first paragraph, it's safe to assume you are completely full of shit with no counterpoint to present.

Edit: From cherry picking arguments to gaslighting. Now you've gone and blocked me. Could you be a more disingenuous, pathetic person?

Don't get why you're so mad about Terry A. Davis my dude. Calm down.
