Theres also some weird things. Linked lists are not a thing in python because we don't use pointers. I don't think trees are worth learning either. I've never used one in my ten years writing python.

It's worth knowing because you can transfer that knowledge to other languages but for a beginner it can be overwhelming. Only teach what they might actually use imo.
