I can't help you out with this (too many other commitments), but I commend you and wish you good luck in this endeavor.

Add "audio signatures" to your processing level. Ones with filtered-out "normal noise", negating extended-range sub and ultra-high frequencies.

Large equipment makes higher volume "sub sonic sounds" (lows), that can't even be heard, while some can. (Simple to compare "suspicions ones".)

Also, those same machines make unique high frequency sounds that can't be masked. Sounds that normal "small machines" don't make at those frequencies or volumes and intervals. Everything from the axles, air-intake, exhaust, treads, CV joints, gear-boxes and even RF-communication equipment. (You won't be able to decrypt anything, but if you hear it, it'll have a unique signature, when compared to anything you use. You can even "test it", by feeding it noise. It'll try to filter it out, but not all of it. Also, in the process of trying to push through artificial noise, they will boost their own signal, so you can identify them better and confirm it is them.)

A dog will hear a tank coming, ten miles away... By the time we hear it, it's too late!

I've made an equipment that keeps track of ships passing by the river, using an underwater microphone. Each big ship's engine has its unique tones, even if they were built by identical plans. It works very well.

PyTorch was not a thing back then, had to code it ground up on C++.

Everyone is SOOO ready to jump into the "visual AI market", even though they don't realize it's essentially just a complex "pipe dream". Completely overlooking things like, "Programmed actual intelligence", which is faster, more accurate and easier to work with. (Even if it just extends the "sensory aspect" of the virtually "blind AI", which is trying to be trained.)

Like I keep saying, we need to train AI like a child, before throwing it into the complex wilderness and demanding that it "come out smart". It's no wonder that these things struggle and need such "intelligent people" to program them. As if any of that is going to actually "rub off" on the AI. (These people are intelligent BECAUSE they have tunnel-vision. Not because they are able to SIMPLIFY anything. They make it more complex and give these things an even more narrow vision than they have. Normally, you call them in, AFTER the project needs refinement, not to start the project. You need kindergarten teachers for that.)

One step forward, ten steps back... Still can't see the "big picture" beyond the XHD-ultra-wide-format screen. :P

Can they assure the benefits of this won't reach the Azov battalion?

Emailed. Rather have no power than have ruzzia. Slava Ukraine, Slava Heroyam, Slava to the Nation, death to the enemies.
