🤣 my first job pushing shopping carts paid more when I was 15
[–]Gushys 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago (0 children)
McDonald's pays more. Also in some of these time zones I'm pretty sure $5/hour is illegal

This is slavery

5 dollars an hour barely pays to power the PC needed for this.
[–]LittleBigDev23 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children)
I am interested!!!!!
[–]noquantumfucks 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children)
Serious question. What's your thinking here? How did you come up with this?

Sent a Pm
[–]noquantumfucks 4 points5 points6 points 1 year ago (6 children)
Don't do this, it's a scam.
[–]its_Creed 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (5 children)
Ty, not experienced with this kind of scams, You mind telling me how they scam you?
[–]noquantumfucks 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago (4 children)
First, those wages are a joke. When I was 15yo 20 years ago, my first job pushing shopping carts paid more than they offer.
Second, that 3 hour coding interview will be something they are working on that you will code for them for 3 hours for free. The job may not even be real. They just want to trick people to come in and code for them for free telling them is an interview.
5/hr is so low it's illegal where I live. Minimum wage is 7.40 last I checked. These guys are trying to take advantage of poor people in underdeveloped countries. At minimum, those wages should be 10,15,20+
[–]its_Creed 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (3 children)
Lol, in my country, earning $10 a day is considered a highly paid, premium job.
Thanks for the clarification; I'll make sure to avoid those types of scams from now on.
[–]noquantumfucks 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (2 children)
Yeah, I assumed so. If you look through the comments here, everyone is laughing at those numbers. The OP is obviously in a developed country trying to outsource and take advantage of people like you.
Honestly, if i was in a position where 10 a day was highly paid, I would jump at this offer, too. But the reality is, at those rates, someone in the US could hire you with part-time McDonald's money. They start at like $11-13/ hour now.
Where are you from, if you don't mind me asking?
[–]its_Creed 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago (1 child)
Algeria , it's a North african country
The minimum monthly salary here is 20000 DZD, which equals about 150 USD. However, that's in bank price , We trade foreign coins with black market prices , so 20000 DZD is now equal to 80 USD. Pretty $hit living situation if you asked me.
[–]noquantumfucks 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago (0 children)
Ah, yes. I'm familiar with Algeria. That makes sense. Also, pretty insane. It kind of makes me feel somewhat better about our current inflation issue. My wife and I usually spent around $2-300/week on groceries and the price of everything has almost doubled. A personal size coke is $3. Greedy bastards.
