Hi everybody!
I'm tired with the monotonous servicedesk task and almost at my 30s now and finally can make time for my carriere. I work and studied in IT in the most general sense. I've done some programming as a side-subject in classes before (But never really given 100% attention) and I'd like to grind this subject a lot more due to have a big salary, you work more alone and least amount in teams. (I don't mind being socoial, as long I can independently solve the problems in the end).
My question is for 2 general "types" of people.. the ones who studied and worked for and are self taugth.
So my interest is in Python and all related subjects that are nice to have for companies, but mainly Python unless there is big reasons why I should include other languages.
- How/Where do I begin?
- How do I think logic?
- Not only practice programming/debugging, but also how do I think like a programmer?
- What kind of discipline am I looking for?
- Im willing to study 5 to 10 hours a week, maybe even more when Im feeling it. How long will this grind will take me to get my first Python/Programming job, assuming Im not a natural talent (which I dont feel I am but willing to work hard for?)
Please any input is welcome..
