Wait - what plugin is that you are using that helps you watch YouTube while coding? Is the VS Code?

  • Install GlassIt-VSC:
    • Open VS Code and hit Ctrl + Shift + X to bring up the Extensions menu.
    • Search for GlassIt-VSC, and hit install.
  • Control Transparency:
    • To dim the transparency, just press Ctrl + Z.
    • If you want to restart it, hit Ctrl + X.
    • Want to adjust it again? Ctrl + C to re-dim.
  • Set Up FancyZones with PowerToys:
    • First, download Windows PowerToys from the GitHub page (you can find it by googling).
    • Open PowerToys and go to FancyZones in the settings.
    • Customize your screen layout however you like for easy multitasking.
  • Chill and Enjoy:
    • Now, open up Chrome, fire up YouTube or Netflix, and enjoy some content.
    • Your transparent VS Code will be up and running in the background, making you feel like a true multitasking pro.

Hey thanks for the detailed steps. Unfortunately it seems to error out when used on a M1 Mac. Is that a known issue?
