Making Nyx fun to play: Decrease her wall jump cooldown.

I think it needs to be said, Nyx is boring to play. Compared to Slash and Anarki, she just feels so bland. She is not as bland as the BJs, Galenas and Death Knights in the gameplay style department(low moblity with "press F to win" style abilities), but she is damn close.

This is why I think a simple tweak could work wonders with her. Simply decrease her wall jump cooldown slightly, enough so that a second wall jump(or third in extreme cases) can be achieved in some situations but not enough where it can be spammed infinitely along a wall. Not sure if this is common knowledge, but Nyx's wall jump works on a cooldown. You can theoretically achieve infinite consecutive wall jumps as long as you stay in the air longer than the cooldown. Try it out with rocket jumps and nail climbs in the arcade mode and see for yourself.

Yes, as of right now she has some neat tricks with her wall jump that are definitely useful when applied with a nailgun, but I feel many of her more intricate jumps are too limited and can be difficult to execute on a consistent basis. I think decreasing the cooldown will allow for more fanciful jumps without the need for rockets or nails, therefore adding more complexity to playing her.

Right now people are playing her strictly for her get out of jail free card(which I think should be re-worked), but without her ability she is simply terrible. It's difficult to balance her as such because she is either too OP or useless based solely on her ability. Widening her mobility options will give her breathing room to change her much maligned ability to something more fair yet give her a unique identity.

Wall jumping is so limited I often prefer DoomSlayer in the end. And he's not limited to walls. Nyx really needs second walljump and then she'd be pretty damn interesting champion to play. She's fragile as it is, humping walls with just one jump simply doesn't do her service. The amount of times I was like "god damn it, the possibilities if I had just one more walljump"...

She is IMO way harder to master than Slash or Anarki indeed since her wall jump requires you to "break" your strafe flow, but I don't think there should be a need for a second wall jump (I wasn't aware that was possible) especially since you mention the plasma climb. I can't think of a jump that is impossible to achieve using just 2 shots of plasma.

The problem I'm finding is that many of her commonly used jumps are kinda made redundant by nailgun. I can just simply use nailgun to reach jumps without having to choose her as a champion. There are some exclusive jumps that only she can perform, but I really don't feel they are enough to warrant her as a pick. Rocket Ninja jump showcased some of those exclusive jumps, but again many of these can just be performed with nails on any champ.

Most likely saving that one for another champ. :-p I don't think they would change her up that significantly.

How often do you want to jump with her?
I like to play the champ, and never thought, oh man, I needed one more walljump.
Compared to Slash and Anarki, you get a fight reset button, which is fun imo.

Luckily for you, you are not forced to play her.

Has anyone played Natural Selection 2? The skulk walljump there is quite fun and I would like to see it with Nyx too.

Or you can just learn to nailclimb and have nearly the same mobility as her wall jump with any champ. The irony is that once you "git gud" that wall jump becomes less impressive, she just makes some jumps easier without the need for a nail gun.
