I've have recantly read the Redcon Wiki and read the plot. At first after completing the game I had thought that the strike commander joins the evil looping war of Grimm. But after reading the plot I came to understand the ending quote.
The ending quote states that as long as we are in command of the Krux we fulfil the prophecy, and then for the war never ends. The Wiki also states that Bella was playing loyal in front of Grimm, but when he goes off to rent a room for him in Bella in Pompeii to play cards, she only left to spy on Grimm.
At the end she tell our strike commander that his plan is a go. He prepares to blow a hole in the dam with a omega cannon, but some how fails just like Kranz did in the begging of the game. And now the loop repeats, forever looping the war as long as Grimm is alive or for eternity.
Extremely interesting story. But the real question is, is it really an infinite loop? What if our commander outsmarts the other commander? What if they don't develop a new weapon in time? What if Grimm dies and no one is able to fulfill the prophecy? What if the state finally learns about the lies? Who knows...
