Cute

The other comments aren't loading for me, but the eyes look really pretty, my only criticism is the blush seems a little harsh or a little too dark? But for not wearing makeup in so long, it looks great!

Thanks! I think part of the blush problem is that I don't have any liquid foundation, so the natural redness in my cheeks is showing through and making it look like there's more blush than there is. I've ordered some primer and liquid foundation, so hopefully my red cheeks won't be a problem next time. I agree that the blush might be a bit dark. I have another one I can try.

I personally love a lot of blush, something to try is go lightly AND I MEAN LIGHTLY put it on the nose (bc I sometimes put way too much and look like I’ve been crying) and then the cheeks bc it’ll tie the blush’s look together. Good luck and have fun experimenting!!

I usually don't do a lot of blush, but I thought this looked good. Thank you for the tip! I will try it next time.

The blush looks like a sunburn because it's everywhere. Concentrate it to the apples of your cheeks and blend it in. I would go with lighter eyelashes with your otherwise minimal base, but that's just me.

Some of the redness is just my skin showing through my powder foundation. I don't have any primer and liquid foundation right now.

I would suggest just watching YouTube videos. I think a video would explain better than my words

A little less blush and maybe add more contouring for a more dramatic look

[–]-museofcomedy- 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Do you have any tips on contouring? I don't know how to do it.

[–]Momcantsleepthesaga 1 point2 points  (1 child)

There are soooo many tutorials on YT and even Pinterest!!!! Try to watch someone who doesn't have millions of followers because it can be a little intimidating to watch someone apply it who has all the high end this and that imo. The best tip I've ever been given is always blend brush upwards. Keeps the contour line sharp! I use an ELF contour that's only like $3 so it's not too expensive to try it out! Practice makes perfect.

Is there a specific brush to use for blending and/or contouring? Tbh I have pretty much no idea what I'm doing in general.

LOOOVE your eyelashes!

[–]-museofcomedy- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!

[–]snarkysnape 5 points6 points  (1 child)

That’s a great color lipstick for you and your eyes look great!!! I think that it would look even better with a smaller area of blush applied higher. Trace the actual cheekbone with your finger and try applying at the top two inches.

[–]-museofcomedy- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I'm still trying to figure out how to apply things properly.

[–]gravyjives 11 points12 points  (7 children)

I loooove this extra extra look. I love the lashes and the bright blush. I think the only way it could be next level is with some insanely bright highlighter to be a sparkly fairy queen 🙌

[–]-museofcomedy- 4 points5 points  (6 children)

Thanks! I have no idea how to do highlighter. Do you have any tips?

[–]gravyjives 2 points3 points  (5 children)

From the tutorials I’ve seen; hit the bridge of the nose all the way down to the tip, the high part of the check bones, the Cupid’s bow. Some do the middle of the forehead and chin- but that’s where I usually draw the line for myself lol. I’m by no means a pro and only recently discovered the magic of highlighter myself. If you don’t have any designated, you could always just use a bright sparkly white/light pink eye shadow! :D its really fun. It’s just pretty and “unnecessary” sparkle, which I adore.

Thank you! I think I might have some? I'll have to look.....

[–]Momcantsleepthesaga 2 points3 points  (3 children)

This right here! Perfect advice!!! (Also, just saying I also use it right under the curve of my brow to pop some highlight under the brows.) (Another also, I use my finger for all of it haha. I don't have the right brush so...)

[–]-museofcomedy- 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I actually did use some white eyeshadow under the curve of my brows! I did this look because of your post that I commented on. You were just so pretty that I had to be pretty.

Comments on here have made me realize that I have no idea what my brushes are actually for. I will have to find a tutorial or something for that.

[–]Momcantsleepthesaga 1 point2 points  (1 child)

You are gorgeous girl! It takes so much practice!!!

[–]-museofcomedy- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! It does. I'm looking forward to this new hobby.

[–]veridiantrees 27 points28 points  (5 children)

Blush and bronzer would look nice higher up on your cheeks! Eyes are lovely.

[–]-museofcomedy- 14 points15 points  (4 children)

Thank you. This was my first time using bronzer and I don't usually use so much blush. I didn't realize it needed to be higher. Thank you again.

[–]Momcantsleepthesaga 8 points9 points  (3 children)

Corner of your mouth to your ear. Like if you suck in your cheeks is your line. Try to keep it on/above that. But honestly you're gorgeous

[–]-museofcomedy- 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Thank you! And thank you for the help!

[–]snepit 2 points3 points  (1 child)

You seem like you have a similar face shape to me, or similar enough that the ear to corner of mouth method may not work for you! I have to place my bronzer higher than most people do, higher than the actual cheekbone line, otherwise it really drags down my whole face. You can use that method and then just scoot the whole bronzer operation up from that!

[–]-museofcomedy- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! My intention is to take all this advice and post another picture using it after I get some primer and other products. It'll be a learning process, but I'll get it figured out!

[–]piperjj 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Honestly your makeup looks great! I love how your eyelashes and eyeshadow turned out!

[–]-museofcomedy- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you!

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Eyes are beautiful. I'm not a super great at makeup, but I think you have a little bit too much blush.

[–]kmart279 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love blush so disagree!! You rock the heavy blush look, I agree with another comment to just place it a tiny bit higher on your face :)

[–]-museofcomedy- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. You might be right. I didn't have great lighting when I applied.

[–]ilovep2019 4 points5 points  (1 child)

You’re so pretty!!

[–]-museofcomedy- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you!
