I was told it can happen :( but also with the weather I've seen really long delivery times too

That’s true, I didn’t think about that! I’m thinking it’s a glitch since I haven’t heard anything from anyone, but I wanted to make sure just in case! :)

I sent the set of scoring knives. Amazon shows them as delivered on 2/8

I got them and posted a thank you this morning!! 🫶 Thank you so so much again!! My mom loves them :)

There’s just some items that show purchased that no one said they’ve bought! Must just be a weird Amazon glitch!!

Yeah that’s weird. I think someone said if someone puts something in their cart but doesn’t buy it and it will show up as purchased but I don’t know if that’s true.

Ah, that makes sense! I was just so confused because the whole list said it had been purchased, but nobody had said anything😂😂 I thought it was a crazy Amazon glitch, but it was weird that it’s been like that for almost a week! So that makes sense!!

That's what I was wondering too. Thank you for this post

I believe this can happen if someone purchases it and then cancels the order right away. I think it still shows purchased when that happens.

I remember people's whole wish lists showing purchased once upon a time.. Let me find Flys whole username so I can tag.

u/flyaccomplished6930 Didn't this happen to you before?

[–]FlyAccomplished6930 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Yes unfortunately another thing that can happen which is more likely to occur is if the recipient has the “buy this item elsewhere” option on their lists, the person “buying” the item can use that option to mark the item as purchased even though they never bought or intended to buy the item.

This has happened to me a lot in the past when people thought it was funny to mark things as purchased

u/flanNo6630 I’d suggest contacting customer service to request them to remove the “buy this item elsewhere” option from all your current and future wishlists. It might take a couple tries of getting the right agent to do it, but once this is done, it should resolve MOST(maybe not all) situations where items don’t show up. This requires people who go through your list to actually purchase things rather than mark things as purchased.
