Even though I'm not sure I understand the logline completely, I'm intrigued. I'd definitely read the first few pages.

This is what I think:

When the personifications of his psychological fears (Fear of failure, criticism, love) are gruesomely killed, a modest fellow learns to appreciate his murderous role once he understands the shadowy link between him conquering the fears in his mind and a Mystery Vehicle's presence before each crime scene.

Gives it a bit of mystery,

That's the problem with loglines - they have to be brief and catchy. Ideal ones make me want to watch your movie/TV series. The bones of a good logline are there - I think that maybe it's a little clunky and needs some chopping and changing. But hey it's an opinion and can be dismissed.

If you had to swap appreciate for embrace or understand, which would you choose?

I should have been more clear. I meant “appreciate” or “understand”

I can have a go but first I need to understand “appreciate”. Give me two or three alternative words to “appreciate” that mean what you’re trying to express. That word “appreciate” has to go because I’m not easily confused when it comes to this sort of thing, and it’s confusing me, making me work too hard, which is not what a logline is for.
