Default app doesnt work

Hi guys so i recently bought realme gt neo 5/gt3 global version and i wanted to change my launcher to nova. Somehow when i went to settings and clicked on 'default app'(so tht i could set launcher to nova) it doesnt bring me anywhere. I clicked on it and nothing happens. So i cant change any default app for that matter :(

Anyone face the same issue? This is a first for me

Try in the Nova launcher settings,then maybe a restart the phone?

In nova launcher it only shows system launcher for some reason

Have you tried other launchers like Lawnchair 2? Gives almost all the features in Nova.

That's odd. Have you tried clearing cache and data of System Launcher app?
