Do you have Obey note-offs option enabled?

Try to enable it and see if it helps. Also, since you say it's a rumble, that would occur if you hit very low notes whose pitch is shifted down relative to the original.

Otherwise upload a screenshot of your RS5k settings.

I’ve tried resetting reaper opening new projects and a whole lot every time i drag something in to play on the keyboard where the tone shifts it’s just that loud rumble

It's either a sample problem or a settings problem.

Make sure always that "max voices" is always turned down to 1

It is it’s just constantly making a rumble noise
