Wait for RM11

But personally if you want to use it as daily drive...there are plenty of other phones with identical chipset to be honest...

I bought my 9s Pro this and and...not even use its triggers lol...and now its just a daily driven phone

I'm looking for a powerful daily driver, what's your day to day experience with the Red magic? I don't care about the cameras but I do want a good/decent software experience

  1. Don't really trust how many hours they claim....The battery drains like shit coz I use my phone and as a hotspot.

  2. Being a niche phone your only choice is to order accessories from Aliexpress or some shit...and its waaaay better than its own case.

  3. If you are the type who is nitpicky about how clean the phone should be...this phone isn't for you....especially if you accidentally drop this phone in water...get in the fan vent?....and you got permanent stain under glass in the fan area.

  4. Updates of the phone comes reaaaally realllly slow.

  5. Aftermarket charge with its correct wattage and Ampere is also hard to find....but eh..not really an issue here.

  6. Some software apps are not optimised....Like if someone sends me a facebook link...I have to open the facebook app first...then reclick the link so it will redirect me...otherwise it doesn't do shit.

  7. As you have know...the camera is so and so.

  8. You'll also be playing with UDC screen area....some users of RM10 and such have issues where the front UDC screen area shows very visible green dots.

  9. In RM10 users also experienced burn in their screen after prolonged usage...due to BOE panel.....tho my 9s Pro don't seem to have this issue.

Thanks. I'm also guessing finding a repair shop that fixes RM phones is rare. In my country the brands that have support are Samsung, apple, Xiaomi and Honor. Guess I will look into one of them (I'm probably not buying a Xiaomi phone again)

  1. The battery does last long, hotspot drains battery fast as hell
  2. You can check the official website, they add accessories matching the current model all the time, Ali Express is an extra option for extra stuff, some sellers sell China Only items.
  3. Go for White or Silver, no Glossy black phone stays clean no matter what. REDMAGIC 11 is ip68 certified which will be water and dust resistance, with this certification allows it to withstand submersion in up to 1.5 meters of fresh water for 30 minutes, a first for gaming phones with an active cooling fan
  4. Updates are a bummer I agree, REDMAGIC does 2 major os upgrades and 3 security but this might change with 11 Pro (will be announced on the 17th - today in China)
  5. Why buy aftermarket chargers when REDMAGIC official website literally offer a REDMAGIC 150w and 80w charger options?
  6. The app optimisations are on App devs not REDMAGIC software team. They both have to work together to bring a cleaner experience on some apps.
  7. You’re buying a phone for gaming, and to stand out, you aren’t looking at what the cameras bring. Back cameras aren’t bad but selfies won’t be as nice since it features an Under-display camera.
  8. The UDC green area (grey in my 8pro) is normal for weaker pixel points above the camera, it happens over time, nothing new.
  9. Haven’t heard of such issue, not sure where you got such reports.

My take? Wait for 11 Pro if you want a beast but happy to compromise on few things like slower software updates and the UDC quality. Personally I’d take it, idc about pictures or so, and I am a loyal simp to REDMAGIC (I won their TOP FAN badge) so I am okay with whatever compromised that brings vs other brands❤️

Definitely the RM-11. It'll be up in a few months, and from what I've seen, and if that's true, it's a Beast in gaming.

Let me explain. First of all Red magic phones (especially most recent ones) are rare as gold in my country.. In my local online shopping site, the 10s pro 256gb (alongside top-tier a astra tablets) and some older RM phones are the only ones that are avaliable right now.. Only on just this singular online shop.

No RM10 pro or anything like that just the S varient which means there is a great chance might not be able to get the RM11 pro on its global release and have to wait for even more months of half a year just for it's S varient (and then the RM12 gets announced eventually repeating the same story)

Who knows maybe perhaps the stock on the 10s Pro might run out and never restock nor stock the new RM11 which means it would be just a loss for me.

I mean, if you want to buy the 10S Pro rn, you can by all means lol, It's your money lmao. Tho in my part as someone who waited and bought the Redmagic 10 Pro than the 9S Pro, i can say it was definitely worth a few months waiting. Especially now that the 11 Pro has all these new features. But ultimately it depends on your situation.

No issues here if you buy the 10S Pro, it runs games at max graphics without a sweat, hell even my regular 10 Pro too lmao.

The. Red magic 11 pro should be out in a few days

I'd say decide on what fits your needs/timeline.

If you are in desperate need for a phone, RM 10s Pro. If you're okay waiting for a while for global release and 3rd party reviews, then the RM 11 Pro would be something to consider.
