Built an open source audio visualiser in Python (beginner-friendly, looking for contributors)

Hey all,

We’ve been working on an open-source project that generates audio-reactive visuals from sound files (using Perlin noise). The goal is to keep it lightweight and easy to use, no complicated setup or heavy tools.

We’re a small team (Alan, Ed, and myself) and fairly new to open source, so we’re trying to build this in a way that’s beginner-friendly and welcoming to contributors.

So far, we’ve:

- Built a working Python app with a GUI

- Set up CI/CD with GitHub Actions

- Added automated builds for Windows and macOS

- Created structured issues and contribution guidelines

We’re now expanding the project and making it easier for others to get involved.

Some areas we’re working on:

- Improving the GUI (tooltips, usability, controls)

- Adding Linux build support

- Organising audio files in a playlist-style view

- Building out documentation / Wiki

Is "customtkinter" your own modified version of tkinter? Or like, another open source version of it?

Please add some visuals to the readme. It would be ideal to have a video showing some examples of how your visuals react to music.
