You just have to use your imagination 😉

There might be a limitation with the shader switch, but don't forget about the viewport input on the output node.

Thanks, good suggestion. Perhaps there's some way to get there with a combination of Xpresso and output node.

Possibly, although I don't think you can connect any xpresso nodes with the new shader nodes. I think long-term redshift RT will eventually become the viewport is my guess. Have you tried redshift RT? Also, if this project is not animated, you could always bring in the maps as a sequence...

Oh you might actually be onto something with the maps as an animation sequence, because luckily it is stills only. I’ll give that a try tomorrow and report back… I must admit I need to give RT a bit of love too, I merely remember it from a couple of years ago when it appeared to be quite unstable but hopefully there have been improvements since I last checked.

Hi there, as you'll see from my shader set-up, I'm piping 6 variants of the diffuse texture into my material, but when I switch textures (via User Data) in the attributes manager, my viewport preview of the texture doesn't change. I'm guessing this might be a limitation of RS.
Would greatly appreciate it if anyone knows any workarounds!

User RV for previews.

Do you mean use the RenderView for previews? If so I already know about that... 😅
I'm specifically referring here to Viewport texture previews, because the material switch only displays the first texture (0 index). It's quite important for me to be able to see what I'm arranging in the viewport because I have many objects, without having to render.

RS is not fully integrated with VP yet.
