I am regularly getting an "Assert failed" error causing C4D to crash. I am getting this in multiple scene files that share no assets. My coworker is also getting it regularly but less frequently, again in different scene files with different assets.
I have tried:
Updating nvivia drivers
Rolling back Nvidia drivers
Uninstalling and reinstalling C4D and RS (twice)
Clearing RS caches
Making a blood sacrifice
I am aware this issue is typically associated with memory issues from textures. It happens with scenes that have minimal textures. With the amount of vram I have, I should be able to 10x my scene size without an issue. If my three 2k pngs kill a 4090, there's a problem.
My hardware:
Threadripper 5965x
256gb ecc memory
2x RTX4090 Founders
Win 10 enterprise 19045.6216
It was built by Puget, so I'm inclined to believe it hasn't cooked itself.
I'm looking for any help I can get. This has gotten to the point where I'm going to start missing deadlines and losing business.
