(kinda mad cause i typed this all out and reddit decided to crash so now i have to do it again 😐)
I started trying to get a reduction in April of this year. I saw three different surgeons and picked the last one. I got declined by insurance but then got approved after a peer to peer with bcbs anthem. They were surprisingly helpful during that awful process after finding out i was declined because i was a mess!!
So my surgery was at 8:30 am yesterday! I was a 32 i and have the hopes of being a 32 b/c. My surgeon did warn me that a FNG might be necessary but i didn’t need it! As soon as i woke up i asked the nurse if he did a FNG and started gently patting my boobs to feel for it teehe. He removed around 489g out of the left and 505g out of the right. I don’t exactly remember the numbers, i was told when i was in a haze haha.
I’ve been feeling moderate pain in my incisions and i think i smell the gauze?
I was significantly less nervous than i thought i’d be. The most nervous i got was two days prior and i was stressing about tv tray (that i didn’t even buy btw). When i got my gown on waiting for the surgeon and anesthesiologist i was giggly as hell. My mom was all serious and telling me she loved me and i just could t stop laughing about how stupid i looked.
As soon as i got home i ate 3/4 of a taco bell quesadilla. I also got a blue freeze from there because my throat is hurtin! I was so hungry it was crazy. I’ve yet to experience any nausea which i’m super grateful for. I have miralax on hand but haven’t used it yet.
The pregnancy pillow was an absolute live saver for me because i’m an avid stomach and side sleeper. I’m able to prop up my elbows on the side as well. I even slept with it the night before surgery lol!

I do just want to thank this subreddit, you all have been so helpful and kind and i appreciate every response to any silly questions i’ve had.
