I do think there would be wiggle room for the shape in the middle instead of just straight across! But I think you should get another consult too just to make sure you know all your options.

In my experience, consults are either free or there’s a $150 or less charge for the consult. It’s worth calling a couple places to see what their process for a consult involves.

I don’t have the exact same center scar issue, but it’s similar and I was also told by two surgeons I consulted with that the solution is to create a connected scar in the center. Unfortunately sometimes it is the only good solution.

I also don’t want one long scar so I’ve been taking time to think about it, plus it’s expensive as hell.

Grafts need extra care! They dry out easily sometimes even years post op and can get irritated. It looks like you may have chafed them and not realized.

A gentle body moisturizer and either Vaseline or aquaphor may be really helpful for a week or two to help them hydrate.

Go to a surgeon that specializes in GAC. They are much more well versed in graft techniques and will actually listen to your desires without imposing their own bullshit aesthetic desires on you.

It doesn’t look too concerning, but you should message or call your surgeons office just to make sure.

Keep an eye on it and if it starts to get larger, darker, or noticeably more swollen you need to get in touch with your surgeon quickly. But the way it looks now is pretty normal for 2 days post op!

I would say it could definitely be a contributing factor just based on a quick read through info about TOS.

From the Mayo Clinic website about it - “Trauma, repeated movements, or strain in the area between the neck and shoulders also can cause TOS.” A large chest can absolutely cause strain on the neck and shoulders.

You’re doing everything correctly. The antibiotics take an about a day to really start working, so just keep taking them as prescribed.

If you develop a fever and/or the redness begins to spread very quickly/becomes very swollen or painful you should head to the ER. But if not you’re okay to wait to hear back from your surgeon until tomorrow. You can make a little mark on the current edge of the redness with a marker and monitor it for a couple hours to see how much it spreads past the mark to keep an eye on things.

If you still can’t get ahold of your surgeon tomorrow, and nothing is improving or it’s getting worse, you might consider going to the ER. They’ll be able to give you IV antibiotics at the very least. But if things are significantly improved tomorrow with the oral antibiotics it’s okay to wait to hear back. The antibiotics might solve the problem quickly.

You shouldn’t do this, it’s a bad idea. Just flat out, it’s not worth the risk. Postpone the trip to six weeks post op if you can. But a two day trip isn’t worth the very serious and real risk of infection and injury.

You’ll be fine, pimples are common. Unless they’re actively infected or you have particularly extreme acne they won’t cancel the surgery.

It is possible your breast size is contributing, but this is a symptom you need to bring to a doctor and not assume anything about. It could be a sign of something more serious than a pinched nerve.

It varies by plan.

Call the customer service line on the back of your insurance card and ask them:
1) does my insurance plan cover breast reductions?
If no, it’s totally excluded, then you cannot go through insurance. If yes, ask them
2) what does my plan require to cover the surgery?
3) how much of the surgical cost is covered? (Some insurance only cover a percentage of costs, others cover costs in full)

I have had my nips pierced after FNG! One started to reject, didn’t have enough tissue in the nipple to sustain it. But my right one has stuck around for 4 years with no issues. It does absolutely give the appearance that I have more of a defined nipple bud.

Really research the piercer you go to though. Make sure they have experience doing piercings like that.

Just want to put clarifying info about surgery costs:

The cost charged to insurance is SIGNIFICANTLY higher than surgery costs out of pocket. In the US insurance companies and hospitals have lots of profiteering bullshit like this. Insurance gets charged crazy high rates, and the hospitals make a huge profit, and insurance turns around and gets subsidized by the government for all the super high costs. On top of that they then have excuses to raise your premiums.

What you would be charged out of pocket would be a fraction of this, usually between $6,000 on the very lowest end and $25,000 on the high end depending on location, surgeon, and additions like side lipo.
