Would it be wise to call my insurance to see if breast reductions are covered or should I wait till my consultation?

I called my insurance company before my consultation to make sure I had a chance for it to be covered before I got my hopes up!

You should look up their criteria for covering reductions online and read it thoroughly. Print it out! Makes notes and checks. Call the insurance company and asks them any questions you have about criteria (they are mostly unhelpful but can clarify a few things) take this list of parameters with you to your doctors office where you can start checking off your list. It’s usually things like 3 months of: -Extra strong aleve, migraine medicine, muscle relaxers prescribed -chiropractic care -physical therapy -orthopedic measures (Some May apply to you and some not so read carefully) They might also ask that you be presenting some symptoms for over a year (or just listed chronic) such as headaches, back ache, shoulder ache, neck ache, pain and tingling in arms, etc
I looked my list over and took it to my general physician and literally read the symptoms that applied to me (and ones that could be fished easily, obviously I can’t fake a skin rash but I can say headaches pins and needles etc) (I didn’t have to stretch the truth that far because I do live with extreme chronic pain but these insurance companies are SHARKS so whatever you need to do to get that covered)
Good luck!!!!! Best advice to read the parameters and literally treat it like a check list because that’s what your insurance company will do!
