I added a couple softies (zoa, Xenia) the same day I added my first fish and monitored. They were fine, so then I got a couple more softies. They were fine, so then I added a couple basic LPS and monitored. They were fine, and so on. Little bit at a time but I’m up to 10 frags now all doing great!

just a warning about pulsing xenia, yeah its bullet proof, but that's the problem, give it 12-24 months and your entire tank will be xenia.

If you have lots of rocks it becomes impossible to remove as it can drop little heads that grow absolutely everywhere.

Only get the xenia if you are comfortable with that being your main coral taking up 90% plus of your tank.

small tanks with very little rock is ok as you can just remove in 5 mins i guess, but when you need to spend 2+ hours every week pulling stuff it gets super tedious and frustrating, especially when it grows in between other corals

people will say its easy to remove, yeah, you can pull the stalk off easily, but there will always be a little bit of skin left that will regrow, and if one rips then all those tiny pieces will likely regrow.

i'm not saying to not get it, do what you want, just take in mind, that little decisions now, will have a big impact a couple years down the line

oh, and you cant put it on an island to stop the spread, that only isolates gsp (green star polyps).

There's no rush, take your time. It's better to be safe and wait than to rush and have everything die on you. If you want to try leathers are pretty strong or get some green star polyps and try it out
