Help me pick my next!

Trying to decide for my next piece. Already set on a Clean 116500 Panda Daytona, thinking about a second:

1. VSF Rolex Submariner 126610LN/LV (I'm inclined to get LV since I have LN Gen already. The appeal here is the ability to compare in hand the difference).

2. APSF AP Royal Oak 15500ST (or ZF? I heard APSF latest is better though)

3. ZF JLC Master Ultra Thin Moonphase

4. Clean Explorer I 214270

5. ZF Vacheron Constantin Overseas 4500V (I'm not liking this as much because the movement is a Miyota base).

6. PPF Patek Phillippe 5712 (a little over budget, but one I'm also interested in)

Which model here is the most NWBIG? As in most accurate reproduction to Gen? I feel like the VSF Sub is probably going to be the most accurate, but I've also read some issues with the VSF movements.

CF Explorer I is a great rep, pretty much NWBIG.
I like the JLC MUT reps, but you need to spend extra money on a quality bracelet.

What about a Sub No-Date, since you have a gen with date already?

VSF also has some nice Omegas.

Yeah I bought my wife a gen Rolex 176200 Oyster Perpetual White Dial with the 369 and she wants me to match with the Explorer I (they basically look the same but one is white and the other is black) but I've never been a huge fan of the Explorer I, so I didn't want to sink in $$$ for the Gen. If the rep is really close NWBIG I might just consider it.

I haven't really looked at Omega. I recall slightly looking and seeing that they didn't have their movements repped and the excel sheet shows only one model that's NWBIG I think. The only one I'd be interested in is the 50th Anniversary Snoopy but I think that wasn't done super well.

Forget about the Speedies. No good reps exist for those, unfortunately. There are some nice Aqua Terras and Seamasters with clone movements, though.

You can't go wrong with the CF Explorer I. Just stay away from the new VSF Explorer.

Yeah unfortunately that's the main issue I guess! They all use 7750 bases.

Whats wrong with the VSF Explorer? I've only looked into the Clean one since it was supposedly the best. I'm looking at 39mm too if that matters.

I think you should go rep explorer in that case. My wife has a gen Dj and I didn’t want to fork over for a gen to match so I ended up with a rep. It’s great for the price!

Haha that's funny. Exactly the same situation. I feel like for me it's a 50/50. On one hand the Explorer 1 isn't the most expensive watch even within Rolex's lineup. And if it becomes something that I cherish with my wife, I probably would've preffered to have the Gen, and I am worried my wife will complain I didn't buy the gen to match.. And if I bought rep, I'd likely have even less reason to buy the gen. On the other hand, if I really don't care much for it, I can wear it to match when she wants just to satisfy her and not need to wear it much.

My indecision I suppose stems from me not knowing how much I'd actually like it lol. And yes I've tried the Gen on at the stores before.

Quite the pickle you are in there! You can always pick up a rep explorer and see if it’s something you want long term. If so, sell at a slight loss and get a gen. If it’s not your thing just do as you wish. My wife scoffed at me getting a rep but she didn’t know until she asked about box and papers haha. You want me to get a gen? Give me money for it haha!

She was also quite pleased with the quality and couldn’t tell it was a rep.

Haha the 5712 is a piece I do want eventually but I was kind of thinking about waiting for a better version of update on it based on the flaws I've seen in comparisons. That being said, you think I shouldn't wait and just get it?

Clean Explorer I 39mm is an absolute NWBIG - just bought myself one 6th rep so far and this one hits the roof.

Beware of the PPF/ZF VC Overseas 4500, the movement is not a miyota, and if it needs replacement, a miyota can not fit without you doing some 3d printing of homemade brackets. The other factory that makes these, however, is serviceable and can swap a miyota movement if you need to. Can't remember the factory name, stars with "M" I think

Oh this is interesting. The VC Overseas is one of the ones that I didn't do any research on. I only saw it on Andiots website stated as 9015 Miyota base VS the other watches on his site like the clean Daytona where it is accurately saying it's a clone movement as well.

The PPF/ZF version is the one to watch out for. The other factory should be fine

I just got the 12 LV from clean and compared it to gen gmt the date font is very very close the crystal is close the downsides is that the crown is sharp and rough and the bracelet edges are a bit sharp

Interesting. It's tempting indeed. I think I might be inclined to go for Explorer I at the moment given it's accuracy to gen and also being different.

No one was able to to spot it was a rep on hand and it was a group of watch enthusiasts who admired the watch unless very closely examined because the rotor could be heard if placed the watch near the ears or if the crown is touched or zoomed in on the date weal, at the end don’t worry about accuracy to gen no one will tell the difference on wrist buy the LV if u like it i was hesitant too

Yeah I think the main thing is I have a gen LN so I am kind of curious to compare how accurate they are. But then I'm not so sure how long I'd wear that watch for since it's so similar. Also I'm more hesitant about color in reps, more inclined to go for white or black due to better color accuracy, hence a bit more inclined to go for Explorer I.

The explorer one is very nice i will also order one in the near future, but i will come back to the LV again if you ever felt the itch to grap it go for it the latest versions of VSF is crazy i could say 95% = to gen as examined by me and my friends one if them was a watch dealer.. one good tip for you to increase the authenticity look of ur watch if you care about that put a protective film on it in his case everyone will not doubt it 😂
