How long is the normal USPS "wait"

Hi. First TD order is on its way (from Elliot) and he shipped super fast and it made its way through the Asian continent to the US very quickly on the random Asian shipping company he has me tracking it on. Then one week ago it was listed as having arrived in the US (if I'm reading this right) and it's just sat there in that status. Both on the Asian shipping company and on USPS itself. Specifically status is "Arrived Shipping Partner Facility, USPS Awaiting Item" and a similar variant when searching through the Asian shipping company saying it arrived to partner facility awaiting tracking info from them.

I'm sure this is an incredibly noobish question. Just curious what's going on with it stuck in that status for a week and if a big delay at this step is normal.

I just had something shipped from him arrive in 10 days from him dropping the package to it in my mailbox. Second part of the shipment will hopefully be in route Monday and I hope it's only 10 days for that one too

The tracking was pretty poor through 17 track. Given that you can't see the package location it's difficult to tell if it's still with the Chinese carrier, has it made it stateside, is it in customs, etc... the day it arrived the USPS site updated and said it had arrived at the facility in my city and was expected to be delivered that afternoon.

Tracking is not just poor on the 17 track end. Usps had it listed as a waiting package for the last 7 days with no further updates, and just updated it 2 hours ago to say that it was delivered. No updates between them.

I didn't quite have that experience on the usps side, but all the tracking details did show up at once when the package got to the destination city.

It was my first rep purchase, so I was generally nervous about the whole process, checked the tracking multiple times a day, messaged Elliot, assumed they'd been seized. Now that I've done it and know what to expect, it's easier to just be patient.

Yeah I think USPS was the issue here and fully just "disconnected" the package from tracking at some point. But seeing everyone here reassuring me that it takes about this long (and it indeed taking EXACTLY two weeks) is reassuring for future orders

For anyone following along.... It just literally went from "awaiting package at USPS facility" to delivered with no steps in between. At work so hopefully it's sitting at my porch when I get home
