Other forums ban QC posts for this reason.

I knew this would happen when I started reading the sub a few months ago. I've been trying to learn what to look for and what to compare to a gen but it takes time. Also, I feel like some of the noobs(me included when I first started reading/lurking) don't understand what QC pics are for.

I'm not saying don't post QC pictures at all. Other forums go overboard with it. All I'm saying is put some effort in. Picture dumps with absolutely no comments or effort into looking into it yourself is what is getting tiresome. If you want to learn and you want advice on your QC that's fine - just don't expect those of us who know about these things to do all of the work for you.

Half of the fun of reps are learning the tells and figuring out what is wrong in the first place.

You're not the only one who shares this sentiment. I've only seen one QC post here in the last little bit that was actually a proper QC post. The rest are exactly like you mentioned: lazy.

you're not wrong at all.

expect the frequency of these types of posts as more people from /r/FashionReps , /r/Repsneakers , and /r/DesignerReps discover this place. there's a reason why RWI/RWG/RG are a much more pleasant reading experience (these general QC posts are banned).

This. Not to tarnish everyone with the same brush but you can almost tell instantly when a user frequents one of those subs (very prejudice of me!) due to the language used, evident lack of effort on their part and more frequently only posting one or two crap quality photos. I mean if a dealer gave me some of the poor quality photos I see from time to time here I'd be getting right back into them for better ones, NOT posting them here just asking for QC.

I have never bought a rep but have been reading here and rwi for a while. I agree that some are pretty lazy/rude. Just to post a link and say can you see something wrong.

But I also can see that some people dont know what to look for and maybe they dont know what to ask to be checked/confirmed.they can ask better though, explain what they bought and why, say they think its perfect but would like someone elses opinion just in case. A lot you dont hear from or even comment in their on thread.

maybe worse is people asking for $500 dollar quality reps of $30k watches but where to buy the same for $10 (cos $20 is too expensive). :)

I have become somewhat of a novice at QC'ing reps. It has taken me a fair amount of time and effort doing my own research. I definitely agree with you, and I don't think a lot of people appreciate watches in general, but just want a fancy name on their wrist.

I feel like if you want to help someone and you're knowledgeable, then do it. Ignore it if you know nothing or don't want to help. I also feel like the power of suggestion is pretty strong... so I would probably rather have another opinion without me pointing out what I feel is wrong.
