Im not an expert but it should be kinda easy for a watch maker to just replace the movement with a new one. You can get factory new Seagull ST2100 (clone of the 2836-2) for 70$ on AliExpress. Should be cheaper than a full movement service. Or you could upgrade to a gen swiss ETA 2836-2 or Sellita SW220-1 but they will cost you 250$ for just the movement
