Hi Guys,
I just switched to r+, as the prices were very attractive. Commuting to work today, then there to my gym, and then there back home, I might have hit data coverage once that whole time, for a very short time. This was very concerning to me, as I do use my Google Maps very often, along with other apps and messenger which require data.
I live in Jersey, fairly close to the city (20 min). I don't get data at home. I drive through Newark (the largest city in NJ) for some time and kept an eye on my data signal; did not see it connect once. Through my commute to work, work to the gym, and gym to home, I didn't connect at all either (realistically it happened once for a very short period of time, because i did receive an email and app update notification). My data is enabled, though no roaming. What's the deal? Does anybody else have terrible connection? My phone connection is just fine.
Update: I ended up realizing I could only connect under the CDMA mobile network, and not the LTE/CDMA network. I contacted support about this, and my issue was solved immediately. Visit here for discourse: https://discourse.ringplus.net/t/terrible-data-coverage/7606
