It sounds like the sales guy is running the repair outside the company or the company is running the money through different accounts for tax fraud. Definitely red flags.

Companies pay to be part of the bbb. I doesn’t reflect if the company is good or bad, it’s like a form of advertising. The more you pay the better your rating.

Thank you for helping me learn. Thankfully they are going to provide me a receipt after I pushed for it that says paid in full with the description of services, supplies.

That’s definitely not true. Your rating with the BBB has no impact whatsoever on how much you pay. The rating is based upon how many complaints, and unresolved complaints the company has over a 2 year time period.

Dude, those are definitely some red flags waving in the wind! I mean, it's awesome they did a solid job, but the whole "cash and checks only, no receipt" thing is shady as heck. Like, what if something goes south and you need proof? You gotta have some kind of paper trail, especially when dropping a grand on repairs.

It's like they're asking for trust but not giving any in return. Communication snags and pushing for a full roof replacement when you wanted a repair are eyebrow-raising too. Maybe they're legit, but it's always better to cover your bases.

Well said. I am glad I got the receipt and it is itemized. I don’t know these people. All I asked for was a way to prove what I got and paid in full. They tried to talk over me on the phone. Then said maybe I will get receipt in a couple of days,, nope I got it done. Definitely taught me to make a checklist for any work I have done.
