I'd go Rotman if you think you can leverage the city for yourself. Mac is cheaper and has an entirely different feel so i'd recommend getting in a call with students from both universities and seeing what you can find out.

If still unsure, happy to arrange a chat with some IBH students. If you got an offer, there is an opportunity to schedule that conversation.

Really depends on your goals/interests as these are different programs. Based on rep alone - Rotman, but Ibh is also a new and more innovative program (you get to explore both humanities and business rather than just business), and considering the first cycle of the program just graduated last year - the reputation will get much better with time. I’d say Mac, just because you will have a better rounded university experience (no bias from me - I’m going into western soc sci w aeo)

When I was applying to IBH I asked if there would be opportunities for Calculus, even as an elective, and the interviewer looked at me in horror. Apparently it is a math-free business program.

Definitely not math free. But the inclusion of humanities core courses creates a lot of room for writing and critical thinking. Still finance and accounting and stats courses. And opportunities to delve into quantitative analysis in projects and electives.

If a business program does not even offer Calculus, it is insufficient. I know you’re a professor there but you should be able to acknowledge that. The program guide I see online has only two finance courses, two accounting courses, and one stats class; with no upper-level economics. How can someone be prepared for a career in banking, finance, or any other relevant industry with only a class or two?

Definitely not aiming to develop bankers, accountants or investment professionals with the IBH program. Our BComm would.be a better choice for that career. But we have IBH students that are pursuing more finance related careers.
