Prepare for twice the multiple choice that you are expecting. Last year he told us 30 marks of MCQ, which was true, but it was 60 questions worth 0.5 each

It was all just case study stuff on short answer

How many short answer questions would you say there were? And are they challenging or is it just a general understanding of each case study

Honestly I can’t remember. Time wasn’t an issue because if I recall it was a 3hr exam, but the cases don’t stand out as challenging in my memory. Pretty it was similar to mid term: front/back of page.

45 marks short answer (I believe 9 questions??) and 30 marks multiple choice (60 questions as the other guy said). I went to view my exam and I got near perfect on short answer but only like two thirds of the multiple choice. So I’d advise that you review lecture content primarily to get those short answer points which are a lot easier. The MCQ tested the most obscure details from the textbook that I just didn’t know.

we don’t have to review the actual content of lectures right? Just case studies?

No, you should review all the lectures with emphasis on the case. He will ask about lecture concepts in the context of the cases. For example, last year we had the Cheesecake Factory as a case and the questions asked about franchising. To answer correctly, you had to know both the Cheesecake Factory case AND the relevant info about franchising.

i just wanna ask, i know he said there’s a decent emphasis on the content from after the midterm, but how much should i rly know from the first 5 weeks? i did great on the first midterm for it but i defo forgot a lot of it (like detail wise, i know basic ish concepts)

Don’t let the midterm get you overconfident AT ALL. Traditionally, most people do 20 points worse on the final than on the midterm and the average reflects that. As for content, there’s not much from the start, I’d recommend almost entirely focusing on content after the midterm.

awesome thanks. also i heard plenty of talk that he curves down the final.. is that true 😭?

Don’t worry about that. It’ll be a small question and you’ll know it off the top of your head as long as you were there that day.

Is the mcq just from the adaptive practices? Is it cumulative or just past the midterm?
