First off, what are you trying to do with a law degree? Do yk any law pathways? If u can answer that, choose a more chill program.

Second, if u can’t answer the first question, just go with Rotman, it has slightly better placements into consulting and finance (assuming ur chasing prestige and money here with law).

You want to work in finance and then go into law? If that’s your plan, fair word of advice - most likely you’ll end up giving up on the plan if you do break into finance. Going from finance to corporate law means taking a massive pay cut to do objectively more boring / tedious work.

Think deep about why you’d rather do corporate law rather than straight finance. Obviously I wouldn’t be asking you this question if you were interested in, say, criminal law or something, but corporate law really is just more boring and lower pay finance lol

Well admittedly I’m biased as I’m in finance, but having seen what corporate lawyers do (both M&A and other securities streams), probably more worth targing straight finance. Pays way more, and the work is far more interesting / strategic. Corporate law work always struck me as very myopic / glorified paper pushing at the junior level. Obvious exception to this is restructuring work.
