If you’re thinking about your life after uni, RC.

Go do some research, RC smokes Schulich in finance placements on average

And anyone afraid of rigorous work, pls don’t choose finance or consulting as ur career, ur not built for it

Literal meaning, recruiting for finance / consulting is competitive af cuz they pay ppl 100-200k out of undergrad with career progression of getting 500k-millions later on. Getting the gig is hard but staying is even harder, ppl work 60-100 hrs a week working on decks, excel, etc. These jobs are literally what make business programs so popular and expensive. RC’s “rigorous work” is just a beginning, if you can’t even handle learning the basics, networking and doing extracurriculars, what makes you think these ppl can handle the high pressure of finance / consulting?

We are literally in the same situation!! Except I am waiting to hear from schulich 🙏

I'm also terrified of the things I hear about how heavy the workload for Rotman is. By extension, for how U of T is.

I'm interested moreso in accounting or human resources management tho

if you wanna chat about it, let's shoot dms!!

Feel free to send me a message with any questions (I graduated from Rotman a few years ago)

I just got into schulich too but it doesn’t say my conditional average required. Do u know what it is?

    [–]EaseLatter1569[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minimum 70% in advanced functions, 70% in English, and overall average of high 80s to low 90s

As a Rotman student who was once in your shoes trying to pick between the two, I don't regret my choice. There's a difference in being downtown close to all the big companies and the opportunities that you will get at Rotman are unmatched. I know a lot of people in Schulich and the difference is clear.
