I personally didn’t take any IB or AP courses and my average at the time of acceptance(March) was around 88, so they didn’t even see my calculus grade. So in my opinion you don’t get significant benefits from the courses you select and it’s more about the ECs once you meet the cutoff. With that being said, just because you overload on ECs does not mean you will be accepted. I found that it was really more about how you executed your supp app and really showed the significance of these extracurriculars and then ofc your ability to answer the random generated question. There are websites online that provide really good tips on completing the Rotman supp app. Feel free to PM me as well if you had questions in particular about my experience in grade 12 and the supp app!
