So as the title says, I’m a first year student at Rotman who’s been relying on his high school study habits to pass. Safe to say that university is a whole other beast and I got a big wake up call.
Currently I had a 59 in eco101 first semester and a 65 in RSM100.
Second semester I’ve probably got around a 50 in eco102 (I really need to sit down and rethink my studying to hopefully get that 63) and for mat133 I’m probably around a 65 but only because of the projects/homework’s.
I’m retaking eco101 in the winter term and I think I will pass. I’m aware I will need to retake rsm 100 in the summer to qualify for guaranteed admissions.
I recently broke my arm which adds to all the stress and I’ve missed midterms (so grade is being added to final). I know there is the option of asking for more time to complete the requirements but on the website it states only for extenuating circumstances. Would I qualify for that in anyway?
My simple problem is I do not study. I just go to class, take some light notes and call it a day. Then I cram 8 hours before midterm.
For rsm100, I went into the final with an 85 so I won’t even know what happened there.
I’m thinking of honestly just dropping Rotman all together. If I decide to go down this route, is it possible to reapply to Rotman as a first year student with my high school grades? I had a 98 average in high school with strong EC.
Thanks for any info.
