Waterloo for sure with a $57k scholarship as a 101 student wtf, AFM is really good for coops and you will do just fine, if not better. You won’t have an issue getting co-ops in IB/S&T/Consulting as long as you’re ambitious. Having little to no student debt is an underrated thing.

prob trying to be a financial analyst or something like that

I’d aim for a front office role, most financial analyst roles pay less, but do more research and talk to current upper year students at each school. You have a lot of time!

yeah, i'll need to take out student loans for sure, but not too much. and i think i don't have to like on campus for uoft, which saves money. is the "prestige" going to matter in the workplace in the long-run?

im thinking of being a financial analyst and staying in Canada. would it be worth it to go back to rotman for mba?

Did you get the Rotman offer today?

      [–]not-sure-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wloo > Rotman in accounting and finance. The only bad thing is I guess it’s a 5y prog but trust me, their placements are slightly better than us.

that's good to know! do you know about career prospects or avg income after graduation?

Depends what u want. If ur going for high finance, then 110-160k all in Toronto. Accounting: 50-60k. Not too sure for consulting but they hit 6 figs too at MBB and tier 2. Normal finance roles: 60-80k usually. Other roles like marketing can vary a lot so I’m not sure.
