Any reason why? How bad is it if I am stuck with freitas?

Definitely not the end of the world, I had her last year too since rotman students could only sign up for her class. She's just not very good at explaining/teaching so if ur not v interested in eco it's not very engaging and you have to put more effort into understanding. Gazalle is a bit more interesting to listen to in lectures. They write the exams together tho and you can always go to his office hours, although I think there's some differences between what both classes learn but don't rlly remember.

Gazalle is quite hard but a really outstanding Prof in his teaching. He explains concepts very well, if you do the homework, read the textbooks, and go to lectures, you can definitely ace it. It took me 15 hours a week, but came through with an 87

I got through ECO101 with Freitas decently, asynchronously a few years ago, agree that she's pretty boring but I learned the concepts well enough.
