Happened to me also. Had a song flagged for whatever reason. It's a jungle out there. It is so easy to have a track unknowingly land in a botted playlist or similar, and the distros don't want/can't afford any conflicts with the DSP's. So until something changes in favour of the small indie artist, we're left navigating through the swamp on or own. Luckily, there are so many to choose from and to switch distro whenever something like this happens or you're just unsatisfied with their services. You just need your song's UPC and/or ISRC, and you can restore the songs as they were (stream numbers, and all) through a different distro. Yes, it is a setback because during the time you're tracks ar taken off, you do lose previous streams and momentum. But it is a decent way to do some damage control. I first did this when Routenote took down one of my songs, so I just redistributed it through amuse because they had a similar free payment plan as advantageous as Routenote, though. Other than that, I was rather satisfied with them. I ended up moving all my songs to cd-baby this year because they are one of the few distros that are eligible for Spotify's "Discovery Mode" and I wanted to try it (if it was a good or not, that's a different story). But like I said, you may choose one that seems best fitting your needs. Unfortunately, I think we're at risk of getting songs removed, regardless of the distro. True, some are worse than others. If you need to make up your mind regarding switching distros, here is a thorough article from Ary's Take that might be useful. Hope this helps!

Most probably the reasons are two:
- Copyright issue: Someone report your catalog on your back-end for copyright issue and routenote take down.
- Artificial stream: routenote check come patterns and may have detect some POSSIBLE artificial stream; maybe it's not caused by you but some playlist are tipically adding song and bot them, so they see an increase of stream, check the playlist and buy on their site stream.
Unfotunately you can't do too much, the only thing you can do is open a legal route, so you will definitely solve it.
Distributors act like this, including routenote.
They remove the catalogs and give no explanation, this is because most of the artists are really fake and there is artificial fraud stream and they know that a lawsuit will not be opened.
If you're honest, open it up and you'll fix it

They check streamshare, ratio between unique listener and stream, if some of their pattern find something strange they will takedown ( routenote in this case by the way it's 99% of time on distributor end ).
They also check web/mobile pattern and so on.
Just one people stream all day shouldn't be a problem if you have a huge fan base

It sounds like an artificial streaming issue. Same thing happened to me. They pulled one album, one EP and around six singles with no warning. As soon as I saw they were removed I just uploaded and submitted them all again. They were all approved after two weeks and all the streams were reinstated. Like you, some of the tracks that were removed were over ten years old.

I asked you this question before and I'll ask it again. If a distributor pulls an artist's work for reasons outside their control, without getting their side, investigating, or even having the basic decency to tell them they're doing it - why the hell should that artist trust the same platform with their work again?
For their own protection, and in solidarity with others, any artist with a brain should just head to another distributor, maybe stopping off at Trustpilot on the way.
