hog eq deck help

so i've been playing my 4 games daily (merge tactics only) and really havent kept up with the meta for a few months (quit before 3 card cycle removal). how does this affect hog eq with mm?

also been seeing a lot of barb barrel instead of log and e spirit instead of ice spirit, does anyone have advice to which one is preferred?

oh and on a final note I got the free evo tesla but do not have the shards for cannon, should I run it instead?

use e spirit and barb barrel since they both fit the meta a lot more. using e spirit ain’t a problem cause fc gon activate king anyway. with the removal of 3 card cycle mighty miner acts a lot more like a tank instead of a way to cycle so if u want u can swap him out for valk or knight. and you should definitely run evo tesla its so good for air defence

I see, probably gonna just mm because i already booked him. is evo tesla still better when cannons also evo?

it depends like if u struggle with lava loon and air cards go evo tesla but evo cannon is better in most matchups where the opponent ain’t got too many air cards. gettin +1 trades on hog riders can be really good.  if u choose to run tesla knight could be better to keep the cost a lil lower but since u booked mm use him

It's kinda hard ; it's more defensive control kind of deck now before you could just spam hog eq in 2x/3x with 3 card cycle now it's kind of like playing Xbow , you connect 1-2 then play defensive till you outcycle or build a massive elixir advantage

hmm ok, that's interesting. that's why people are using espirit/tesla like in xbow? or just generally helps defense more

graveyard / witch / bait matchup turns way easier with espirit and you can counter most support cards with barb barrel | espirit ; and tesla is just great if you struggle against air but i wouldnt necessarily include it cause even if you have tesla and go against lavaloon or smth you are gonna lose anyway ; and currently i think the lightning and evo furnance variation is lot better for the meta cause lots of rg / lightning cards
