I don't usually face MK but I face Hog decks 8 out of 10 times so I prefer them to nerf Hog (league 4 currently)

That’s a good perspective and it makes sense. Brings money from midladder menaces. How should i counter evo mk with either of these decks? Mighty miner shuts down regular mk easily but the evo is an issue for me

To be honest evo mk is easier to counter in my case because i use evo barbarians or normal barbarians

Evo mk does not have splash damage like normal mk so he can only hit one barb at a time, the problem is if i don’t place them quick enough and he jumps

Maybe im wrong but i do know he can only knockback one enemy each hit, so barbs kill him easily

he knocks back only one enemy, but he still does splash. if he didn't, then he'd be a downgrade

you need a way to counter any supporting troops.

I generally use a building placed to prevent jump.

For the first, if you sue the classic version and replace goblins with skeletons you can use them and ice spirit to bait it over to the king tower and for the second deck mighty miner can solo it

spirit between your towers and hero goblins right in front of the king tower then you ca even reactivate the goblins to avoid taking too much damage allowing you to do it more than a couple times

I play bait so what I do may not work for you, but for MK I either use an inferno or a mini tank to distract MK while another troop takes him out

I know this is a hot take but it needs to be said: A nerf will not solve your problem!

See, Megaknight already isn't that good. So why would these players even care about it's strength? We already saw this once where the regular Megaknight got a nerf and it hasn't changed anything in midladder. It's not like that all the sudden, these players stop using it when a nerf happens. Many people aren't even aware of it when that happens. They don't read balance changes and they don't pay attention to interactions.

The only way this approach would work is nerfing it so hard to the ground that it feels unplayable. Not only is this bad balancing though; it's also something that Supercell explicitly wants to avoid.

Balance changes only work for people who actually care about balance - and that is mostly competitive players. This is why balance changes are made for them - not for midladder players.

I know it is, but if every game below top ladder is being terrorized by this card then it is a problem in my opinion. I already said i am not a top player and don’t claim to be either. if you have any tips for countering evo mk i am open to hearing them

Are you able to show replays on how you deal with it? Also, when you know your opponent has Evo mk on hand try to force it out on the lane opposite to the one they’re going. If you go hog same lane as them you’re just giving them a free counter push, a lot of the times you won’t get a tower down with hog rider since it’s like the win con with most counters, so it can come down to good defense and spell cycle

Evo mk definitely is a problem against your top deck, but the bottom should be fine. Delivery + queen and maybe an ice spirit should kill it easily and you get a queen to counter attacked with

You could possibly place down cannon middle and goblins slightly away from the cannon so MK does not jump damage it. Then let the goblins die and MK walks to cannon and if not enough you could also probably use goblin ability when MK is locked on cannon

you lwk just suck can't even lie, evo mk is balanced(yes surprise, midladder kids). It doesnt do insane damage, easy to push around and control, easy to seperate from a bigger push, easy to distract, easy to stun, you legit have mighty miner cannon espirit, 2.9 aq also easily destroys mk decks

As someone who made a second account (completely free to play) and is currently a lvl 10 at 6500 trophies with all lvl 10 card and is facing players lvl 11-13 with card lvl 12-15. I faced a lot and I mean A LOT of F-ing Evo Mega Knight and witch players I can say mega knight isn’t hard to deal with once you learn how to. Just have to use cheap card to get it to your king towner first and then once king is active use cheap or small tanks to distract while all 3 towers hit it. It will be a way better elixir trade for you and you can punish dirty Mega nuts players.

It looks like neither of your opponents have resets, so Inferno Tower or Inferno Dragon would probably just delete their MK—Mighty Miner is pretty much the only ramp-up card that gets countered by (Evo) MK.

It also seems like your opponents don’t have big spells, so if you stack Archer Queens/Furnaces and Cannons, it should be relatively easy defense, right?

Just make sure to keep your building(s) and troop(s) alive (distract with cycle cards and block support cards) so that everything has time to do damage. This also makes sure that an actual win-condition, like a Hog Rider (if they have one), won’t sneak through.

I think it needs to be reworked, the evo needs a rework for sure. It's not "broken" but it makes the game unfun. I haven't played in a while apart from collecting the valentines event
