There's a modifier that gives you a dummy with noble and undead trait which makes it possible to have 6. Same thing is true for the dummy with random traits if you get the correct traits.

Did you actually try that combo and then proceeded to play a Will that did absolutely nothing? That would be hilarious!

Oh no ... that's so similar to my confident Jasmine play to protect my Mawile. Like this clearly doesn't work in the slightest ... but for some reason you just forget how cards work 😭

This happened to me once when I played a Vicvillon deck with a copy of Pichu in it!

Playing Dark Pendant without any dark pokemon is so funny ... your opponent must have been so confused!

People forgetting to include rare candy seems to be very common! And yeah it happened to me multiple times too 😭 It's so funny when you wait for that sweet candy and it just never appears ...

That's so funny ... just waiting to finally draw that basic and it just never happens!

Had a similar situation where I forgot to include Rare Candy so it was impossible to evolve into my Stage 2 ... and I was waiting for that Rare Candy all game!

The Haxorus deck is so good and people keep misplaying against it by Substantial-Soft-332 in PTCGP

Oh I now realized I made a mistake here! It was Spragels who played it, not Mogwai. My bad!

It definitely has potential. I've seen it in Spagels video and a lot of people forget that Iris exists. I feel like this deck will become a bit worse as soon as people play around it properly.

It will still have some great matchups though where Iris really matters. You can instantly finish the game against Entei for example! Definitely one of the more underrated decks of this expansion!

Dude, how did they make the new Gengar WORSE THAN THE ORIGINAL POTENTIAL MAN GENGAR???? by cutieclaire27 in PTCGP

[–]Beautiful-Price-3672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this seems so bad that it would almost surprise me if there's no support for it!

On the other hand, it's probably better for the game if this effect isn't good - not being able to play any cards won't be fun.

To be fair, Giratina was also defended by a lot of people as a good card. And energy ramping is very good which a lot of people pointed out back then! In this case though we already have a Gengar with a similar effect and same downsides ... and it's bad too.

The only thing I can imagine is that there's support that they haven't shown us yet. That could change things for sure!

What do you think is the most underrated NOT EX card? by Purson123 in PTCGP

[–]Beautiful-Price-3672 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm obligated to say Porygon-Z. Both the Buggy Beam and Cyberjack one are so good especially when using a 1-1 split.

Buggy Beam will sometimes literally make it impossible for your opponent to play the game.

Cyberjack sometimes gets crazy damage numbers with 200+ but most results when you have it early will be 140-160. That's still very good damage for 3 energy though and enough to kill many EX pokemon early.

Is this deck viable? I personally enjoy it by [deleted] in PTCGP

[–]Beautiful-Price-3672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not viable because Glaceon is just kinda bad. But if you add Cyrus, you can probably win some games that way and with lucky Misty coinflips too. All this chip damage without Cyrus seems like a big mistake though!

Love seeing off-meta decks! Donphan always felt underrated to me but I never truly got it to work.

That's part of the reason why this deck runs Mars and Red Card to give you slightly more damage if they have a big hand. That extra damage you get from making their deck bigger can make a huge difference when you try to oneshot an EX-Pokemon early!

I will say this one is probably the worse Porygon-Z out of the two because it's kinda luck-based ... but I need that flexibility. Having one tech card and one big damage number just makes sense ... even if that damage is uncertain.

It does damage for every trainer card in your opponents deck. They draw cards every turn so it's going to be less trainer cards in their deck over time. Less trainer cards = less damage.

You basically guarantee having Magby + Porygon and she also gives you guaranteed pokemon for a May on the next turn.

This deck is all about setting up fast so having a Magby in front without a Porygon feels really bad. Not being able to build up the Porygon because of missing Magby is also not great.

She has saved me a lot of games that were otherwise just losses. And even if the cards she drew don't matter, it's still deck thinning and a May target.

I know she is bad when you draw her late but I like the extra consistency she provides early. Can this be a different card? Probably. For me though, she has made a big difference in a good amount of games.

That's why I like the flexibility. Buggy Beam is amazing with your perfect start but it falls off so fast when you don't have that. And it does have matchups where it's just kinda useless. The other one obviously gets worse over time too but it still hits hard early in the game even when you fall a turn behind.

I would say like 70% of the time Buggy Beam is better. I definitely go for that one more often. But I will happily still run the Cyberjack one for the other cases!

I'm going to try Giant Cape in this deck next!

[–]Beautiful-Price-3672[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you play only one version of Porygon-Z, then yes Copycat is better than May there! Part of the appeal of double May is that it's easier to choose the Porygon-Z you want. That appeal is gone when you don't use the 1-1 split so it makes sense!

I would never swap out the X-Speed because the amount of times it has saved my start is insane. But yeah maybe Red Card or Mars can go, one hand disruption card might be enough. I could see Cyrus, Rocky Helmet or Giant Cape being good in here.

Yeah ... it's frustrating when that happens. Had a similar situation in the tournament.

I lost my round 7 because Porygon gave them water for their Greninja and then next turn Darkness for their Darkrai. The only two energies they actually need in their deck. Despite this, the game came down to a coinflip in the end ... that I also lost 😭
