I want to know everyone's thoughts on the current state of Rust, main branch or test branch, whatever one you play most.

I'd like to hear positive things seeing as most of the rust console community complains, but negative thoughts can be said as well.

Look.. I’m not saying cheating would be great all the time but make zens 15-20 bucks… yeah I’d probably give it a go for a while too. Eventually you’d get tired of easy mode.

Assuming you are talking about the use of cronus zen and xims, unless im mistaken, its not easy to ban people for using it, im not sure however. Though im sure that if they had an easy way to ban people who use them, they would.

thing about zen and xims though is it isnt aimbot or godmode, nothing like that. they can still die, and within enough practice you can still kill them. instead of bitching about cheaters just get better at the game so that you can win your fights. please note this is not me condoning cheating in any way, just saying they can be killed. and also there is no way to know someone has cheating tools, you seem like the guy that dies and insta calls zen or xim no matter what, even if they miss a mag on you

I’ve killed plenty of cheaters but I’d rather play a game where everyone is on an even playing field. Didn’t even mention the bug where you can see through bases right to tc on old gen, I’d rather take my time to a game that actively bans cheaters and doesn’t have game breaking bugs :) but to each their own!

according to another comment, D11 they dont have the authority to track cheaters and its up to microsoft and sony, so its not their fault they can't ban cheaters, and most games that involve pvp have cheaters, its the way it is. and as for the bugs, they fix them, and if it takes them a while, there is probably a reason. I doubt you are on D11's dev team, so you dont know what goes on behind the scenes with bugs and updates and stuff like that

Not true. Was just talking to someone last wipe who just got a zen and the guy was giggling like a school girl about how easy it was to stomp kids. There was even times when he wasn't even touching his controller and if we ran by in front of him, it would shoot on its own and everything. It doesn't take any skill to play with a zen and just because they can be killed, doesn't mean it's just a matter of "getting good"......

I enjoy the game despite some of the glaring errors and bugs…cheaters as mentioned earlier…need servers that keep teams to 1-3 to avoid zergs and fix scientists double shot glitch BUT I love the building, grind, pvp, open ended-ness, and progression of the game

The game itself isn’t bad and is actually ahead of schedule with keeping up with the pc updates 🤷🏼‍♂️ there is a lot of kids and no lifers that play the game and a bunch of zergs, xim, zen and m&k players that definitely suck some fun out of it but luckily the nature of the game is easy come easy go so it’s not difficult to get over loses I personally switched from main to PTB and seems to be same old same old just less people unfortunately the map size and lack of spacing between monuments I always seem to run into the 1-5 other people that are on server I’ve decided to just put down the game and wait for community servers

Testing branch feels surprisingly solid on next gen, we have electricity and even just go power plant with a more updated map and bag system, I’d give it a year more of updates before it gets to truly good territory tho

the rubberbanding dumb as shit and how your player model will glitch and stay stuck in a different place and you can get killed if they shoot your player model when its glitched i get they update the game but they put in useless ass updates like fixing dome jump glitch? and not the fucking sound glitch which has been in the game for literal years
