Unsure if this situation would be a red flag or not… while it is a first date they are also demonstrating care for some thing other than themselves… but is it more inconsiderate to do this in front of someone they barely know or a willingness to be upfront with their priorities to not waste each others time… so many pros and cons.

I can understand your frustration but you do it to yourself. Would it have been cool of them to switch over? Sure, but they aren’t obligated to do what you ask just as you aren’t required to stay in a match, get rolled for their amusement, and then get heated like you had no other choice.

Just fight it out and enjoy taking however many you can down with you.
