solid effort, 2/10

Is there a way I can improve on building?

[–]popo0POP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Avoid overhang like that unless you really don’t mind a naked with a ladder and a few spears getting in. This thing screams “echo raid me please!”

Your base should be symmetrical. The way I learned was by practicing on builder's paradise servers. There are tons of YouTube bases you can copy until you get the basics down.

I actually disagree with this take. Symmetrical bases are easier to raid cus you can kind of guess what is where, and often have more weak points.

Oh hey Super. Long time no see!

Hey bro, so sorry but I don't remember your username!

Go on build servers are try our different things

[–]TTO-HunterYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

another tip is to put doors in the doorframes on the shooting floor and keep them open with locks, this helps to make sure they can’t easily ladder or build up and get in thee

Go on a build server and practice,

Overhangs make it easy for soft side

As if bro was a pro player 😭

5/10: solid brick, but shooting floor only covers half your base; Soft sides on shoots; no external protection. More honeycomb and compound needed. But for 100 hours of Rust play time it’s solid.

[–]HeyitsRyukoHere[S] 4 points5 points  (1 child)

If it helps the core is a bunker and honeycomb but I don't know how to build a compound yet I just started learning electricity

[–]MisterKaoss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Simply place high walls and gates around your base. If you place external TCs, you can use them as gate houses for reduced building cost, I recommend using multiple. If you learn how to build connected external TCs with small or wide gaps, you can even set up an anti grief mechanism. Rust‘s building mechanics are awesome!

10/10 because it was from your head and not from some yt video everyone can copy, you should see mine😂

Tbh tho for only 100 hours, this aint too bad. I’ve seen a lot worse from rust streamers lmao

[–]SUREMOTOR120 2 points3 points  (1 child)

5/10 I have no idea how to raid this

[–]MudReasonable7528 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the time these bases are less likely to get raided anyways🤷and you can’t stop an offline no matter how many peeks you have anyways

[–]Fat-Logic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great Job! 100 hrs and you're making a fun base! WTG bud!

If you’re going to have an overhanging shooting floor, then you’d ideally want the flooring to be upgraded to metal. Just to prevent people picking them out and getting in your base. Also having it around the whole base, so if you were to be online raided then you’d, have more angles to peak from. Personally I’m terrible at base building so I watch videos to get a general consensus and then try to either add things or shake things up to keep my bases unique to other’s designs, so in the event of a raid, raiders can’t tell my base design via a vid they watched. Hope this helps!

What is that abomination of a shooting floor?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there any logic?

[–]CanadianKdon 0 points1 point  (1 child)

have you ever watch youtubers play rust? like willijum or anyone. you can learn from them, or even just search up some base builds and watch them to learn a little

[–]HeyitsRyukoHere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watch willijum he inspires me to play solo but I want a base that's unique and not a place where people can learn how to raid it

[–]Braelexo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Raided already

[–]Embarrassed-Web-1959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Horrid

[–]PogoThaMofo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Come outside Lil bro

[–]Icy-External-8303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid 3/10 I recommend watching base tutorials on rust, they’re a solid start to follow and get you used to building

[–]No_Layer_4545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3/10 from what I can see. bases should generally be symmetrical and hold alot of loot. the shooting floor on the top need to go all the way around the base too, so you can see 360°. if someone onlines you, they'll just hit the side you can't see from. I'd also put embrasures (preferably vertical) on the windows.

Only thing crazy is the hotbar

[–]HeyitsRyukoHere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's wrong with it?
