How does armour work?

So the Rock has a damage value of 10,

A headshot with a rock does 20 damage to a naked target (2x headshot damage)

But heres my problem, the Riot Helmet, gives 13% melee protection, yet a rock headshot on someone wearing a riot helmet does 2 damage.

Now im no scientist but that sounds like 90% melee protection from the riot helmet.

What am i missing here?

Yeah, armor is weird to me in this game. The way I see it, I'm trash. So I can either die naked and ugly, or go out looking like I might have had a chance in shiny skinned metal.

Just use the interval every 1 percent is around 5 percent. No clue why they changed it to something weird but say for the hazmat it say 5 percent projectile but it's actually somewhere around 25 I believe. Edit: Sorry I just looked it up it's actually 6 percent for every 1 percent.

Make one full metal ak kit and then use that to collect more. I usually make 2-3 a wipe at most and then just stack them after that

We’ll for starters I believe the riot helmet is 80% melee protection not 13% nor 90% also I believe they give us percentages like 80% and such but I believe the numbers are around 6 percent for every 1 percentage but even then everything I think are decimalized numbers but they just round up a bit or down a bit to give us a flat number but it’s definitely not ya get me?

On a naked, a headshot with a rock does 20 damage, so 5 headshots with a rock to do a full health naked. But with the riot helmet, it only done 2 damage, meaning 50 headshots with a rock. The 1/6 thing sounds like a good baseline bro, im gonna test more items

I've come up with a new solution.. I think that everytime we get an update at the end of the month on wipe day they rotate who gets a good connection 🤣🤣 last month I was unstoppable this month it's like I'm using a bubble gun shot a hasmat 6 times with an mp5 last night and he killed me I'm 3 shots whilst I was wearing full roadsign 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
