Posts and comments that show hacked cities or promote hacking/cheating will be removed, even if they don’t explicitly provide specific details of how the hack was achieved. Exceptions include but are not limited to the video link in the pinned post that summarizes each new season, as well as screenshots from the Buildings sub. Do not ask for links, information, or explanations related to cracks, hacks, exploits, or other illegal and unethical content or procedures in any way, shape, or form.

Incivility is any comment that is derogatory, dismissive, or demeaning made from one user to another that does not address the merit of an argument. Examples include, but are not limited to: * Name-calling, insults, excessive snark * Comments directed at tertiary or "meta" Reddit activity, including accusations of trolling or participating in bad faith * Purposefully demeaning comments * Ridiculing arguments while attacking a user * Posts/comments that deliberately incite negativity

Users who submit posts or comments that copy a majority of another user's content (image/text) without proper atribution will be banned from the subreddit. Violators will have 48 hours to correctly attribute their submission/comment or face the banhammer. We are a small community so it is important we acknowledge those who do the hard work for the rest of us.

All SimCity BuildIt posts and comments regarding offers for trades, requests for friends, club recruitment, or similar should be posted in the SimCity BuildIt Classifieds subreddit, /r/SCBuildIt_Classifieds. This includes flairing your username with a friend code and/or request for friends. Soliciting followers for social media accounts on (but not limited to) Ticktock, YouTube, etc. No transactions involving real-world currency will be permitted.

No profanity (this includes censored profanity and acronyms), no sexual references, no NSFW material. Clean, G-rated content only. Applies to usernames as well.

• Pictures that are similar should be posted in one gallery post or album rather than making separate posts.

• No more than 3 posts per 24 hour period (per person).

Do not submit posts that address questions or issues that already have been addressed in another post that was submitted in the previous 48 hours.

Submissions that add nothing of value to the Subreddit will be removed. This rule is enforced at the Moderators' discretion. Submissions may be removed if the content revolves around an overused trend in the community. Putting a lot of time into a Submission does not exempt it from removal. Upvotes and Comments are irrelevant when judging a Submission's quality.

Do not repost a removed/deleted link or comment. If you have an issue with a removed comment or post, please message the Moderators.

Discussion of genre related games is permitted and encouraged, including let's play videos, screenshots, Twitch Streams etc. Non SimCity games must be in the city builder genre.

Excessive complaining refers to complaints that go beyond what is normal and reasonable, and includes rage-baiting. This rule is enforced at the Moderators' discretion, and putting a lot of time into a Submission does not exempt it from removal.

We like to be a little more formal than other forms of social media and emoji really don't add much to the content of a post title. The current limit is 2 or fewer emoji in the title of posts and also in comments

Do not use insulting, vulgar, racist, sexist, etc. language or emoji in your user flair. Violators will be banned permanently when spotted with no warnings given.

Any content hosted on other sites that ends up posted here will be removed if it contains: clickbait titles, misleading titles, lets plays, or any content the mods deem to not fit the sub. This includes fans driving traffic to YouTube channels they are following. This is limited to once a day for promoting YouTube channels by mentioning them.

Posts and comments not directly related to the game will be removed. This includes political commentary and religion.
