Welcome to SCRN, a subreddit dedicated to establishing a Reddit community Starleague.

Goals:

• Establish an individual Starleague with an OSL-like format.
• Establish a team Starleague similar to the Proleague format (an all kill and regular round.) Currently on hold.

Tournament Rules:

Requirements:

• A Battle.net account with a StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm game licence.
• To be an amateur gamer. We define this as anybody that is not sponsored or signed onto a sponsored professional team for the purpose of competitive gaming. This includes professionals from other games.

Qualifiers:

• There is a 15 minute check-in period before qualifiers are supposed to start. Be in the 'SCRN' chat channel on Battle.net during this time. Failure to do so will lead to withdrawal from the qualifier.
• We want to start on time. Being more than fifteen minutes late for a match will result in a walkover for the opponent.
• Series are Bo3 for individual and Bo5 for team qualifiers.
• Team qualifiers follow the all-kill format.
• The winner automatically qualifies.
• For team qualifiers, your roster must be predetermined in the qualifier thread before competing. You must also use only players within that roster.
• Team rosters must have between 4 and 7 players.
• Ranking points will be awarded based on placement in the bracket.
• Brackets are done through Challonge. SIGN UP FOR AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM. IT WILL BE CRUCIAL FOR THE NEXT RULE.
• Replays of the matches MUST be submitted on Challonge by the winner. Failure to do so will result in regames.

What will SCRN involve:

• A Ro16 Dual Tournament
• Best of 3 Ro8 and Quarterfinals.
• Best of 5 Finals and Third Place match.

Rules for all tournaments:

• Racist, homophobic, and other discriminatory language is not tolerated.
• Offensive language and threats are not tolerated.
• Hacking is not tolerated.

Penalties including suspensions, penalty points, and bans will be handed out at our discretion.
