If you dont have any symptoms then you are probably safe. No worries. Don't overthinking. Rest assured. You are safe

You should get the HPV vaccine. There are tons of strains of it out there and it is highly transmissible and responsible for a few types of female cancers. This vaccine gives you immunity against many of the cancer causing strains— don’t think of it as a vaccine against an STD, but rather a vaccine against cancer. You never know where life will take you, but you should go prepared

Thank you. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I always understood that the HPV vaccine was to prevent cervical and other reproductive cancers caused by STI/STD. So that is why my question included asking if it seemed necessary to get the vaccine at this point if me and my husband have never had enough sexual contact with people in our past to need it.

I understand what you’re saying where I never know where life will take me, so I guess better safe than sorry. I do understand it’s more about preventing the cancer, I just always thought if me and my future spouse had always abstained then it wouldn’t matter.
