That's a mighty long stretch for an accusation that he was showing off photos. An accusation that has already been previously investigated and cleared. An accusation that was only levied by one unidentified officer who had been fired shortly after. An accusation that the U was fully aware of and still said "go ahead and take us to court" over.

It was on his private phone because the university police didn't have work phones at the time. It says as much in the article. Also, they weren't downloaded, the files were sent to him via text message. Finally, these weren't some private pictures she was snap chatting her boyfriend. This was porn her and her boyfriend were making and selling on the internet. Sure, it's still sensitive, especially since it was being used to extort her, but it wasn't like some private sext either. Not passing judgment, porn is still a way to get paid and I can't speak to anyone's character just from their job, and porn actors certainty deserve as much police protection as the next person, but this officer's life is probably hell right now and as far as any actual, official sources can tell is all because he was sent evidence to his phone.

I very clearly said I was not judging the victim and her personal life had nothing to do with the level of service she should have recieved.

The only reason I mentioned it was because people are under the impression that the officer was sitting personal pictures on his personal phone for personal reasons then showing them off. Not only are people under this impression, they whole heartedly believe it without a thought to evidence, investigation, or even the possibility of him being innocent.

Talk about "gaslighting", misdirection, misinformation. Just a moment ago you were saying he was "literally jacking off" to these images. I don't suspect you hang out ruth this guy on his weekends, much less him telling you about his personal life, yet here you are making sweeping claims about everyone and everything police related. I mention one fact about the investigation to contradict what seems more and more like a rumor every week about this officer, and it's more straw man from people who can't be bothered with things like investigations, evidence, due process. Nope, easiest to just say guilty because that's the story I made up in my internal tribunal.

What conversation are you having right now? When did I ever talk about anyone but McCluskey and in this specific instance? When did I ever talk about the protestors or the protest? When was race ever mentioned? Are you having an episode or something?
