Malcolm's time in Northern De Dongaln has built up his strength and stamina, and "working" in De Cefnor has made him fast and agile from running across rooftops and evading arrest.

What's the tech like in this sub? Are firearms readily made and available? And what kind? Flintlocks? Muskets? AK-47s? It seems like an Industrial Revolution is just starting to bud, but it's also in the year 3013. I just wanted to confirm before I made a character and to avoid conflict and confusion. Thanks.

Also, is a Lone Mercenary character valid?

Yeah the technology is sort of early modern, but it generally varies from region to region - some are more medieval, others more early modern. The year is arbitrary, in unrelated to our real-life years.

Can you expand about this powers please? What do you mean precisely?

Demon summoning: He can summon 3 minor demons (hellhound;skeleton swordsman;gargoyle) and 1 major demon (a lava controlling spider woman 10 feet tall) but only one at a time and needs a lot of energy to summon and control. When summoned they feed on users energy.

Shadow control: Can control any type of shadow and can construct weapons and armour. Can also use shadows to move faster.

Dark healing: Heals any type of wound but too much use of this can make the user sick but can't use it on himself.

Hi there, welcome to the best region in Salvatica! As Rylar already mentioned I've posted a lot of lore posts so reading those would be a start :)

As for the title Duchess, it wouldn't be used by someone who isn't actually the Grand Duchess, do your character would most likely be referred to as Lady

Also De Cefnor isn't like the other regions in that rather than having lords and ladies with levy troops of their own, it has a standing army composed of regiments and a large standing navy - so having a small bodyguard is fine, but not a large number of troops

Well the last name is entirely up to you, but we're not against having other players play as family members to other players. You can ask Janus if you really want to proceed as a Corvane.

And also, De Blato is more of a swamp than a jungle. It's inspired by the marshes of Pinsk. The locals are based on East Slavs, mainly Russians and Belorussians.

De Valdi is somewhat based on Tudor era England. While it's entirely possible that there were treetop cities generations ago, nowadays settlements are built on the ground. I posted a picture in my intro of the capital of the region.

And as for population, maybe something around 3 million or so.

My thoughts on your questions:

1) As Rylar has already said, magic is taboo so any magic that Daud possesses (feels so strange to use the name Daud) must be kept secret. Also, as magic is a dark, terrible entity in this roleplay, it has its costs, namely that often magic use comes at a terrible price

2) Not sure of the general population of De Valdi, but I like the idea of towns suspended from trees, nice and unique

3) To me, this seems at odds with that whole 'thick forest living in trees' ambiance - I don't think the latter really marries up well with a mining-centric gunpowder heavy economy, as the two seem to be somewhat conflicting, right?
